The second segment of May 9th’s WCVB On The Record Sunday Roundtable with anchors Ed Harding and Janet Wu. Mary Anne Marsh and Rob Gray discuss Senator Mitt Romney’s future with the Republican Party. While in Utah this past week, Senator Romney was booed by Republican supporters. After a long history of disparaging Trumpism, and recently supporting MAGA-target Liz Cheney, it is unclear if the GOP will consider Romney a viable future member.

Also, Boston City Council member and Mayoral Candidate Andrea Campbell recently got into a Twitter feud with a Boston police union. After reports that Officer Patrick Rose was allowed to stay on the force for 20 years despite accusations of sexually abusing a child, many are looking at the Boston PD for answers. How will this play with voters as the Mayoral race heats up?

Finally, Mary Anne and Rob ask who had the best and worst week in American politics. On the one hand, Mary Anne looks towards the Boston Police Patrolmen’s Association for its spat with Andrea Campbell. Meanwhile, Rob discusses some recent guidelines out of the Center for Disease Control.
