The first segment of March 7th’s WCVB On The Record Sunday Roundtable. Mary Anne Marsh and Rob Gray react to Elizabeth Warren’s Ultra-Millionaire Tax, and discuss the chances of the proposal making progress in the House and Senate. Mary Anne thinks that this plan is a “no-brainer.” It would net $3 Trillion in the first year while adding a few cents on the dollar to the incomes of the nation’s richest. Rob Gray claims that billionaires are already doing a “pretty good job” of putting money back into society.
Also in this segment, should Massachusetts force students to keep their video on during remote learning? Rob Gray calls remote learning “a complete joke,” no matter what. The most important thing is getting kids back into school.
Finally, Mary Anne and Rob share who in American politics had the best and worst week.
