Dana Perino presents a breakdown of the bill, which, according to Bill Hemmer, is 90% unrelated to COVID. However, Mary Anne believes it to be a “great bill for the American people.” She cites that 76% of voters support it, with 60% of Republicans. She also sees the numerous benefits that will come from its passage. To Terry Holt, though, these external benefits are the entire purpose. What he calls “free money” is designed to gain public support. However, the bill is just a cover for Democrats to pay off special interests.
